I started out my creative life as a costume designer, drawing and painting hundreds of figures each year. When I stopped designing, I sort of put my pencil down, and never really got back to drawing directly onto the surface I was preparing to paint.
Then I saw some clever little figures by artist Toni Burt, and they sort of sparked my desire to pick up the pencil and draw some silly variations of my own.
